Wednesday, May 26: Ride the scout trail. This ride could take more than 2 hours and will probably get you back to campus no earlier than 6
Thursday, May 27: Team Dinner at Michael's house

May 18-22 schedule

Tuesday May 18: Road bike ride

Wednesday May 19: Rio Grande Mountain Bike Time trial. Depart at 4:00

Thursday May 20: Mountain Bike Ride

Saturday May 22: Independence Pass Hill Climb. Go to independencepass.org for details

Sunday May 23: Aspen Criterium (Optional race)

chalk creek race report

CRMS killed it at the Chalk Creek Stampede. Cat Koates won the junior Cat 3 women and beat most of the senior women. Luke Falcone got second in the Cat 2 men, Gus Griffin 5th, James Lipe 6th in his first Cat 2 race, and I forget where Robert Weinhold ended up. Everyone is pretty whooped from the day but good racing had by all.

May 10-16 schedule

Monday 5/10 - No practice scholarship work day
Tuesday 5/11 - mountain bikes.
Wednesday 5/12 - aspen cycling club old snowmass-lenado road race
Thursday 5/13 - road bikes - easy ride
Saturday 5/15- Leave for Rabbit Valley Rally/pre-ride race course
Sunday 5/16 - Chalk Creek Stampede XC race.

Rabbit Valley Race

First race of the year, and in some cases, the first race ever for these guys. Notable finishes were James Lipe and Christian Huber going 1 and 2 in the junior beginner class. Kat Coates getting second in junior beginner women, Luke Falcone getting sixth in the his first mountain bike race in the sport class. Good fun had by all in that suffering sort of way

May 3-7

Monday, May 3 - Bike maintenance day. No ride
Tuesday, May 4 - Road ride, prep for Wednesday race
Wednesday, May 5 - Aspen Race series time trial (aprox 15 min long)
Thursday, May 6 - Mountain ride (if trail conditions permit)
